Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is a recreational literacy program for community members of all ages. The library has options for children, teens, and adults. This free program is available to the community thanks to support from the Friends of the Library. Anyone with a valid Cranford Public Library card is welcome to participate.

Children’s Summer Reading

Children track their reading online or in paper logs (please choose one format and stick with it). Visit https://cranfordlibrary.beanstack.com/ or download the Beanstack Tracker app to record reading online. Everyone who participates should record the amount of time they spend reading each day.

At the end of the summer, we celebrate readers with a Summer Reading carnival! This year’s carnival will be held on Thursday, August 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Teen Summer Reading

Teens can track their reading online, Visit https://cranfordlibrary.beanstack.com/ or download the Beanstack Tracker app to record reading online. Teens track the amount of books read. Each book will earn you 1 digital raffle ticket that can be put towards one of our gift card prizes. Reach out to the Teen Librarian with any questions about our Teen Summer Reading Program. Check the calendar for teen summer reading events throughout the summer and volunteer opportunities.

Registration begins in June.

Adult Summer Reading

Adults can track their reading online or through paper forms available at the Circulation Desk. Visit https://cranfordlibrary.beanstack.com/ or download the Beanstack Tracker app to record reading online. Adults track the amount of books read. Each book will earn you 1 digital raffle ticket that can be put towards one of our gift card prizes. Don’t forget to pick up your BINGO card for a bonus ticket!
